Our UBC Immigrant Field School Intern Keertana spent 6 weeks with us at Kits House working within the CitizenU program, an anti-discrimination program for youth. As part of her course work, she produced two short digital stories interviewing participants about their experiences in the Phase 1 training and Phase 2 field trips components of the program. Tune in to hear what the participants had to say about what they experienced and learned in the programs and to see them hard at work equipping themselves to tackle discrimination in their communities.
If you are interested in creating your own short digital stories and getting involved in your community check out the Kits House Project for Awesome Project (P4A). Led by Kits House volunteer Marcia, the Youtube Video challenge is an opportunity to create videos with friends, family or neighbours around the theme of ‘Community! What’s it to You?’
