English Conversation Circles

Meet your neighbours and practice your English skills! Beginner, intermediate, and advance levels available.

Multicultural Women Support Program

Learn about Canadian culture & the resources that are available, while getting involved in your community and  having fun! Takes place at UBC campus. Free childminding provided.

Expressive Art Group

This program provides a safe place for children to express themselves through visual arts, share personal stories, make new friends, learn how to support one another and build confidence.

Bridge the Gap

A workshop for preteens in grade 7 to prepare for the transition from elementary to highschool by learning boundaries, boosting self-esteem, settings goals and much more!

Kits House Summer Camp

This summer, Kits House will be running a summer camp for children between the ages of 5 to 12. Each week, the theme will alternate between the outdoors, cooking, sports, and science. Join us for a summer of fun! Space is limited, so make sure to register quickly.

NutriFoodie Dietitian-led Cooking Camp

Get your kids off their electronics and more involved in the kitchen with this dietitian-led cooking camp!

Bumble Bear Daycare

Bumble Bear Daycare, located in the yellow house-looking portion of Kits House, is a full-time, licensed daycare inspired by Reggio Emelia styled approach for children 2.5 to 5 years old.

Bumbletree Childcare: Part-time care

Bumbletree Childcare, located in the St Geogre's Room of Kits House, is an occasional care, licensed child care program lead by passionate and engaged staff supporting the growth of children 2.5 - 5 years old in a fun and safe environment.

Camosun Kids Club: Out of School Care

Camosun Kid's Club Out of School Care, located at 2465 West Crown St, is an after school program run by licensed Kits House staff for children 5 - 12years old following a child-oriented, Reggio Emilia inspired philosohpy. Pick ups from Our Lady of Perpetual Help school available.

Dunbar Kid’s Club: Out of School Care

Dunbar Kid's Club Out of School Care, located at 3776 West 28th Ave, is an after school program run by licensed Kits House staff for children 5 - 12 years old following a child-oriented, Reggio Emilia inspired philosophy. Pick ups from Immaculate Conception and Queen Elizabeth Annex Schools available.

Kistilano Kid’s Club: Out of School Care

Dunbar Kid's Club Out of School Care, located at 2305 West 7th Ave, is an after school program run by licensed Kits House staff for children 5 - 12 years old following a child-oriented, Reggio Emilia inspired philosophy. Pick ups from Immaculate Conception and Queen Elizabeth Annex Schools available.

Community Potlucks

Grab your big spoon and serving dish and join us in the Kits House Living Room for delicious dinners, friendly conversation & gregarious games at our monthly potlucks! If you are able, bring a dish to share, vegetarian preferred.

Food Skills Program

A hands-on cooking program where you’ll learn budgeting strategies, and how to cook nutritious meals for your family!

FoodFit

Have fun with hands-in cooking sessions, food-based activities with take-home recipes and group exercise and kick start your healthy life style.

Healthy Cooking with Preteens

A program, for preteens 7 - 12 years old, to learn to cook healthily, engage in physical activity and discuss skills to help pursue a healthy lifestyle.

Volunteer Baking Group

Are you a registered Kits House volunteer? If you love to bake and have some time to spare, Kits House can use your talents. Join us to create delicious baked goods for Kits House programs!

Westside Community Food Market

The Westside Community Food Market is a weekly market in the heart of Kitsilano, brought to you by Kitsilano Neighbourhood House & the Society Promoting Environmental Conservation (SPEC).

Effective Parenting after Separation

Parenting program for separated or divorced parent, or any other parent going through this process. Learn effective tips on co-parenting, finding available resources, and more.

Family Drop In

A participant-led program for parents & caregivers with children 0 - 6 years old, to drop in on Mondays and Fridays from 10-11:30am and meet your neighbours and share your skills in activities.

Kits in the Park

The perfect drop-in outdoor program filled with activities for families and caregivers with children 0-6 years old running from July 6th to Aug 24th.

Mama & Papa Goose (Infant Group)

Learn to build a strong relationship with your children as pre-teens, gain the confidence and skills to guide your children into and through the risk-taking teen years.

Mama & Papa Goose - English & Spanish (Toddler Group)

Meet local families and create community connections while building a healthy bond between yourself and your child through song, rhymes, and storytelling, stimulating their language development in English and Spanish.

My Tween & Me

A program for parents and caregivers with children 7 – 12 years of age. Learn to build a strong relationship with your children as pre-teens, gain the confidence and skills to guide your children into and through the risk-taking teen years.

Nobody's Perfect

Parents of children from newborn to 6 years old will have the opportunity to discuss common parent issues, make connections and meet new friends.

Parenting in the Canadian Context

In this Mandarin program, you'll learn about cultural difference, parenting rights, guiding children's behaviour and more, within a Canadian context.

Car Seat Safety Checks

Get your car seat checked in a one-on-one appointment by one of our BCAA trained volunteers that have been certified as Car Seat Educators.

Computer Tutorials

Book an appointment to spend an hour with a volunteer computer tutor and learn the basics for operating your  computer, laptop, or tablet! Learn how to use email, access the internet, manage your photos, social media, and more!

Counselling Sessions

In collaboration with Dragonstone counselling, Kits House will be hosting counselling sessions by counselors who are completing their Master's Degree. For Kits Members only. Book your appointment today!

Income Tax Program

The Kits House Income Tax Program helps eligible taxpayers with a modest income and a simple tax solution. If you need help with your taxes click on the button below to read more and see if you are eligible.

Introduction to Sewing

Learn basic sewing skills in a welcoming atmosphere.

Knitting Circles

Knit together with your neighbours to make hats, scarves, socks, and sweaters for the homeless. Beginners welcome!

Neighbourhood Small Grants

The 2018 Neighbourhood Small Grants (NSG) and Greenest City Grant (GCG) applications open Monday February 19, 2018 and close Monday April 9, 2018. Submit an application outlining your project idea that makes your community a more connected and/or greener place!

Seniors Drop In

A place for older adults to socialize, with educational speakers, artistic performances, and cultural activities, all while enjoying a meal (soup, bread, dessert, and refreshments) at a low cost.

Seniors Link

This program links seniors with students to help with household tasks. Request help or apply as a student to help.

Seniors Outings

Join us for group outings such a scenic bus trips around greater Vancouver & beyond. These outings occur every 2 months.
