Westside Seniors Empowerment Coalition Petition

Would you like to see a Community Shuttle Bus on the Westside? We need your support!

Please take a moment to read the following information and how you can support a much needed service.

Background info: The Westside Seniors Empowerment Coalition is an umbrella group of individuals, community health providers, community organizations and agencies working together to raise awareness and develop sustainable programs and support to seniors on Vancouver’s Westside.

Survey: The coalition has chosen to focus on transportation on the Westside and has met with Translink on two separate occasions since January, 2008. In 2007, a survey was conducted and 81% were in favor of a community shuttle bus.

Route:  A route has been compiled (see link) by the coalition based on community feedback.

How you can help:  During the month of May there will be information tables set up where the community will have an opportunity to show their support by signing petitions and giving feedback? The information tables will be set-up at: Dunbar Community Centre, Brock House, South Granville Seniors Centre, Kitsilano Community Centre, Kitsilano Neighbourhood House, Kerrisdale Seniors Centre, False Creek Community Centre, False Creek Co-ops and Steeves Manor.

Please take a minute to show your support by signing our petition.

The Westside community thanks you!
