Kits House is a welcoming place for older adults that empowers and encourages participation through improved access to information, peer support, healthful activities and programs that support independence and well-being. See below for the programs we have running at Kits House (2304 West 7th Ave) and the Seniors Resource Center (2425 Vine St).

Advance Care Planning

Are you ready for tomorrow's decisions? Learn about Advance Care Planning and how to prepare for future health and personal care decisions at this free information session.

Better at Home

Continue living independently in your home with assistance with simple non-medical and day-to-day tasks. Services include transportation, volunteer visiting, assistance with grocery shopping & housekeeping.

Climate Conversations Seeking Emotional Resilience

Join this small group in discussing various concerns about climate change and how these feelings affect us.

Gentle Chair Movement

Learn to breath and move in your own best way from the comfort of a chair! This 6 week series will focus on careful and effective stretching and strength building.

Gentle Chair Yoga

These fun classes incorporate breathing techniques and guided meditation.  They are designed to improve strength, flexibility, balance, and posture all from the safety of a chair

Seniors Drop In

A place for older adults to socialize, with educational speakers, artistic performances, and cultural activities, all while enjoying a meal (soup, bread, dessert, and refreshments) at a low cost.

This program links seniors with students to help with household tasks. Request help or apply as a student to help.


Seniors Outings


Join us for group outings such a scenic bus trips around greater Vancouver & beyond. These outings occur every 2 months.
