Welcoming Neighbours: Volunteer Training
This program trains volunteers to support new programming and opportunities for newcomers.
The ‘Welcoming Neighbours Program’ Initiatives are:
• Welcoming Neighbours Volunteer Training
• English Conversation Circles
• Community out-trips and social for Newcomers
Welcoming Neighbour volunteers will participate in a 13 hour training program in the areas of community literacy, diversity and volunteer skills. Our next intake of volunteers will be in March 2012.
Interviews are held to decide placements.
