Seniors Advisory Group

The Seniors Advisory Group meets monthly to discuss current issues affecting local older adults, to provide feedback on Kits House seniors programs, and to facilitate a welcoming and inclusive environment for seniors living on the Westside.  If you are a senior 55+ and would like to share your knowledge and skills, we welcome your input and encourage you to join our Seniors Advisory Group. Seniors Art Program

Explore & create art using a variety of techniques & materials including watercolours, acrylics & more!

Seniors Drop-In Program

The Seniors Drop-In program provides older adults with a low cost meal (soup, fruit, dessert, and refreshments) and a place to socialize, including educational speakers, artistic performances, and cultural activities.  Please see Seniors Advisory Group for opportunities to provide input on topics/activities of interest.

When: Every Tuesday from 11:00am-1:00pm (lunch at 11:00am, event/activity at 12:00pm)

Where: Kits House, 2305 West 7th Ave, Vancouver, BC

Cost: $4.00 (includes lunch), plus current $10.00 Kits House annual membership (subsidy available, contact Front Desk 604-736-3588)

Seniors Group Outings

Kits House will offer scenic bus/van trips for older adults around Greater Vancouver and beyond, on a bi-monthly basis whenever possible, to fun destinations like Steveston, Whiterock, Horseshoe Bay, and Whistler. Pick up and drop off will usually be from the Kits House Seniors Resource Centre. When: TBA, check the Kits House newsletter or visit the Kits House Seniors Resource Centre, 2425 Vine Street, Vancouver, BC Cost: Varies between $10.00-$20.00 depending on excursion, + $10.00 Kits House annual membership.  Lunch is not included.
