Overview
Kitsilano Neighbourhood House, in collaboration with community health providers, local universities, schools, community organizations, businesses and volunteers, offers a variety of activities and workshops to seniors living on Vancouver’s Westside.
It is our principal objective to enhance the well-being of seniors within our community by offering programs that foster independent living with a focus on health and wellness, social interaction and education.
Seniors Say
“It was seven years ago I came to Vancouver and began looking for a knitting club I could go to. I needed to meet people and also wanted to help in any way I could in the community. I’m an avid knitter and now help others in the group when I can. We are grateful to centre for supplying
us with a room and supplies.”
Sylvia Halvorson
“I have been a member of Kits House for over ten years and have participated in the activities for seniors. I am presently enjoying the Osteofit classes, the hot lunches, and bingo and the monthly out-trips. I find all of these activities to be very helpful and enjoy meeting and socializing with the other members.”
Lily Kuhn
“I find these programs are great! They give me the opportunity to socialize with a group of like-minded seniors that I would not otherwise have.”
