Westside Mapping Launch' a HUGE SUCCESS!!
The
Youth
Week Gala & launch of the 'Check It Out' Guide to the Westside of
Vancouver focused on the theme of 'How to Create a Youth Friendly
Community'. Included were activities, t-shirts, postcards that helped
explore this important topic, as well as opportunities to get involved
at Kits House, get creative and get curious about the youth programs
& services being offered on the Westside.

Come out & share your voice in the Kitsilano Neighbourhood House
Youth Advisory. Get creative! Imagine the possibilities! Plan youth
events! Gain Volunteer Hours! Develop your leadership skills! Have fun!
Current Projects seeking youth volunteers!
- Community Garden development & planting (veggies & pumpkins
for the Autumn Fair!)
- Helping out with the school aged, pre-teen and seniors programs
- Planning and leading activities for the Kits House Autumn Fair
(haunted house, pumpkin carving etc.)
- Share your ideas of projects or activities that you want to see
happen!
We need your ideas to help Kits House grow!
Youth Advisory meets biweekly, Thursday evenings from 6-7:30pm,
2325 W. 7th Avenue, Youth Room.

Pre-teen Outdoor
Adventure Club Program
Come on out & hang out
with people your own age & go on exciting and fun out trips around
the city. The emphasis of this summer program is on preteen leadership,
sports, health, self-esteem, empowerment & diversity. This program
is lead by university students that have training in preteen social,
emotional & physical development.
We meet every Monday- Friday 9:30am-3:30
The fee
for this program is a weekly rate of $125.00/
monthly rate of $400.00. Before/After care is
available for a
weekly rate of $40.00/ monthly rate of $130
+ $5.00 annual membership

Youth Networking
Table
The Westside Youth
Networking Table meets 3 times a year to share information, network
& collaborate on initiatives that will support youth, those working
with youth & youth leaders. The next meeting is scheduled for June
25th from 1-2:30pm.
