Fall comes around and it seems we all coop ourselves up inside. But why not take the opportunity at the Autumn Fair to head outside, enjoy the fresh air, and the bright, warm colours that paint the city? We’ll give you 12 reasons you should come check it out!

While you roam the fair you’ll have some awesome live music throughout the day by Thomas Beckman, Roky Shichi Taiko and Hagen Mitchell.

2) You’ll Want to Mow Down on the Food from the 5 Food Trucks We Have Coming

There’s no doubt your stomach is going to start to rumble and beg you to visit one of the food trucks that will line the street, from Flying Fish N Chipper, to Chesses Crust, Praguery to Thai Box on Truck and El Coroto Venezuelan Food!

3) Have Some Family Fun with Carnival Games and a Bouncy Castle

Your kids will definitely want to take a jump in the awesome bouncy castle, play some fun carnival games with prizes to win, and get some pretty or spooky facepainting done! (Bouncy Castle will not be able to run if it’s raining, but carnival games will be!)

4) Visit Our Spooky (but Kid Friendly) Haunted House

Set up and run by our Family Programs, this is your local Kits Haunted House that you’ve got to visit. Perfect for children of all ages!

5) Grab Your Pumpkin at Our Pumpkin Patch

6) Have a Chance to Show Off your Halloween Costume and Win a Prize

Who doesn’t love a little competition? Dress up in the best Halloween costume you’ve got! We’ll be choosing a winner for adult costume and best child costume!

7) Get Some Shopping Done by Visiting the 15+ Vendors Along on Vine Street

8) Explore the World with the Multicultural Showcase

We’re having a Multicultural Art celebration complete with  9 entertainers on our indoor stage; Las Estrellas de  Vancouver Mariachi Band, Fraser River Ramblers, Wailele Wai Wai Hawaiin Dance Group, Shohei Juku Aikido Martial Arts, Kids Club Dance Performance, Donald Adams on Guitar, and Mexican Dance Ensemble. We will also have Roku Shichi Taiko doing some Japanese drumming outside! In addition to the entertainment, we’ll have spice & herb samples from around the world!

9) Eat Some Delicious Pancakes

Our Sponsor, Whole Foods, is preparing some delicious pancakes for all to eat at only a few bucks cost! We’re already getting hungry for them!

10) Try Your Luck in Our Gift Basket Raffle

We’ll have a bunch of baskets for you to raffle on, including themes like; Beauty & The Beast, The Sweetest Things, Self Care Basket, Fly Me Away, Multicultural Food, Trick or Treat Halloween and more!


11) Relax and Have Some Tea in Our Tea Lounge

The Senior Members at Kits House join together to put on a lovely tea for all to enjoy. If you feel like a warm drink and warming up, head into Kits House to the Tea Lounge!

12) Connect Community Organizations

We’ll be having amazing community organizations like Work BC, YWCA, Heart & Stroke Foundation, Vancouver Public Library, Kits Community Center, West Broadway BIA, Community Policing and St John’s Ambulance.
