June is National Indigenous History month and Kits House is celebrating each Monday in June in the Community Hall here at Kitsilano Neighborhood House from 10:00 am to 11:30 am.
During these gatherings a representative from the Musqueam First Nations will talk about the Indigenous history, culture, family life and stories that have traveled down generation to generation. You can sign up for one or for all of these Monday sessions:
June 3 – History & Culture
June 10 – Effects of colonization on family lift
June 17 – Story Sharing Circle
June 24 – Cultural Arts & Crafts, Regalia
Please join in our effort to promote Truth & Reconciliation by understanding the rich values, ancient wisdom, and historical truths the First Nations have to offer.
