COME TOGETHER WITH FRIENDS AND NEIGHBOURS AT OUR COMMUNITY HOLIDAY CELEBRATION!

Join us as we celebrate the wonderful diversity of our community & come together to kick off the holiday season on Wednesday, Dec 6th from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m.

As many of you may remember, in the past we have hosted Community Holiday Dinners. While the dinner has always been a wonderful time, this year we are excited to do things a little differently. By coming together in a new way – not a sit-down dinner, but an afternoon of wonderful food, fun, and celebration with friends and neighbours – we can celebrate each other, strengthen our community, and build connections that will last throughout the year.

Centered around amazing holiday traditions and food, this year we are excited to showcase and honour the diversity of our community and just some of the holiday traditions celebrated by our neighbours. From winter solstice to Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Lunar New Year, Orthodox Christmas, Omisoka, Yalda night and many more, there are so many wonderful holiday traditions within our diverse community. We invite you to come together with your neighbours to kick off the holiday season and spread the cheer!

We are excited to start our holiday celebration off a little earlier this year, to ensure that everyone can join in the fun. Join us from 4 -6:30 for a wide variety of food highlighting holiday culinary traditions, fun activities for kids and adults, and a wonderful opportunity to ring in the holiday season with friends and neighbours.

* Tickets $10 (kids under 5 free) – includes food, beverages, activities, and fun!

Kits House will be subsidizing the cost of a limited number of tickets for those who may encounter financial barriers, and if you are interested and able we invite you to consider doing the same!

* Event ticket + $5 to subsidize a portion of another ticket for a community member in need

* Event ticket + one additional ticket to subsidize another community member in need

* Event ticket + two additional tickets to subsidize for two community members in need

Not only during the holiday season, but all year round, we have neighbours facing challenges. In lieu of our traditional holiday hamper program, we are hoping that our community will consider assisting those in need during the festive season and beyond. If you have donations of food (fresh food or nonperishable snack items such as granola bars), new and unused warm socks or gloves, packaged chapstick, grocery gift cards, or monetary donations, we would be grateful to receive them at the Community Holiday Celebration – or at the Kits House front desk any time, year round.
