Childcare Educator – Float
Description of role and responsibilities
The Childcare Educator Float works in all Kits House childcare programs. This involves working with children from ages 0-12 years at our programs at Kits House, Lord Tennyson Childcare Centre and Dunbar Kids Club. As a part of a diverse teaching team you will be co-responsible for developing and maintaining a quality childcare program inspired by Reggio Emilia philosophies. This includes curriculum design, program planning and delivery, communication with families and ensuring the safety and well-being of the children in the program.
Hours: rotating shifts between 7:30am-5:30pm
Rate: $18.10-$20.25/hr depending on experience plus $2/hr ECE Wage Enhancement for those who qualify

Start Date: January 4th 2020
- Valid ECE or ECEA License to practice
- Valid First Aid & CPR Certificate
- Criminal Record Check
- Minimum 1 year experience in licensed childcare
- Minimum age 19 years (as per licensing regulations)
