Early Childhood Educator – 3-5 – Contract
Description of role and responsibilities: The Early Childhood Educator –3-5 works in the full day 3-5 year old program at the Collective Tennyson Childcare Centre. As a part of a diverse teaching team you will be co-responsible for developing and maintaining a quality childcare program inspired by Reggio Emilia philosophies. This includes curriculum design, program planning and delivery, communication with families and ensuring the safety and well-being of the children in the program.
This is a contract position from October 11th 2021-June 30th 2022. Potential for permanent full time work available after end of contract.
Hours: 35 hours week between the hours of 7am-6pm
Rate: $20.66/hr-$21.69 (dependent on experience and license) +6% in lieu of benefits plus $4/hr ECE Wage Enhancement for those who qualify
Start Date: October 11th 2021
End Date: June 30th 2022
- Valid ECE or ECA license
- Valid First Aid & CPR Certificate
- Criminal Record Check
- Minimum 1 year experience in licensed childcare
- Minimum age 19 years (as per licensing regulations)
