The Farmers’ Market Nutrition Coupon Program (FMNCP) is a healthy eating initiative that supports lower-income individuals and families, pregnant people, and seniors.

Coupons can be used at all participating farmers’ markets, including the Kitsilano Farmers’ Market, to purchase vegetables, fruits, nuts, eggs, dairy, herbs, vegetable and fruit plants, honey, meat, and fish.

Each selected participant or household will receive $27 per week for 8 weeks.

Coupons can be used at participating markets from June 15 to December 20, 2026.

Please note that the Kitsilano Farmers’ Market runs from May 3 to November 1, 2026.

The program on the Westside is administered by Kitsilano Neighbourhood House and made possible thanks to Vancouver Farmers Markets’ Fresh for Families Fund.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the program, someone in your household must:

  • Be a senior aged 55+, have children under 19 at home, or be pregnant; and
  • Identify as having a low income.

Applications close on June 25, 2026 at 10:00 am.

Coupon recipients will be selected by random draw. Selected recipients will be notified during the last week of June with details on how to pick up their coupons.
