Kitsilano Little Free Pantry

Kitsilano Little Free Pantry

Here is an example of a Neighbourhood Small Grant (NSG) project in action! NSG recipient Luisa (the 2021 Larry Knetka Community Builder Award Winner) has now installed a community pantry beside Kits House (Vine St side). This is a great project that creates a little more food security in our neighbourhood. Read below for how it works!

Take What You Need / Give What You Can

Welcomed Items

  • Non-perishable, unopened, unexpired food
  • Unopened, sealed personal care items

We Can’t Accept

  • Expired or opened food
  • Perishable food
  • Items that can’t fit in the pantry

Please

  • Close the door after using

The Kitsilano Little Free Pantry belongs to all of us. Please take care of it and the space around it. If the pantry is empty please donate if you’re able to. If the pantry is full please save your items for later or donate elsewhere. Please do not leave items outside the pantry.

Special thanks to

  • Horia Coman-Walker for building this pantry
  • Neighbourhood Small Grants for financing this project
