Expressive Arts Therapy

We are excited to partner with the Vancouver Art Therapy Institute (VATI) to bring low-cost Expressive Arts Therapy sessions to our community! These sessions, led by VATI practicum students, provide a safe and creative space for self-expression, healing, and personal growth.

What is Expressive Arts Therapy?

Expressive Arts Therapy is a unique approach that combines counselling with various artistic forms—such as movement, sound, visual arts, photography, and storytelling—to help individuals explore their emotions and experiences. Each session is tailored to the participant’s needs, ensuring a dynamic and personalized therapeutic journey.

Schedule

  • Mondays: 1pm – 6pm 
  • Fridays: 10am – 2pm

Kitsilano Neighbourhood House

How to Participate:

  1. Complete a Request for Service Form: Submit the form to be added to our waitlist. You will receive an email with confirmation and further details regarding the sessions.
  2. Wait for Contact: A therapist will reach out to schedule your session.
  3. Obtain a KNH Membership: A membership is required; if cost is a barrier, we can waive the fee.
